National Weather Service: "A Flood of Epic Proportions"
On February 23rd, 2019 record rainfall hit East Tennessee. The 30-hour rainfall total was 5.62 inches in Farragut. This followed other rains as Knoxville posted a record 12.55 inches of rain that February--the wettest February on record. No homes in Wesley Place were damaged, but other homes nearby were flooded and one man drowned in West Knoxville when he attempted to drive through high water. Check out these pictures (the first 15 were taken by former resident Susan Baumann Mallette).
